SchillingBridge Winery & Microbrewery

Check out the winery & microbrewery in the video.

SchillingBridge is the nation’s first farm winery and microbrewery combination. The Nebraska Passport stop not only has fantastic wines, but also has a year round food menu Friday and Saturday evenings. Sharon and Mike Schilling, co-owners of the winery and brewery, started their family business in 2005 and they never imagined it would get so big and popular.

The family produces wine, beer, signature drinks, margarita mix, a new bottled wine cocktail called a Wine-A-Rita, frozen drinks, root beer, GIT-R-DONE beer, wine infused food, seasoning mix, dipping oil, jelly, bread mix for beer bread and a company in Lincoln uses the Schilling’s Golden Lager beer to make beer jerky. This family is busy and Sharon told us that the entire family has made so many sacrifices along the way. Son Dallas runs sales and daughter Kelly works at the winery. Along with running the business with Sharon, Mike is also the chef and brewmaster.

Some of the beers produced at the microbrewery are the GIT-R-DONE golden lager, 70 SchillingBridge Scottish ale, Duggan’s Roasted Wheat and popular this summer is the Lemon-Lime lager – the summer seasonal.

Photos: Left, I ordered the pizza and had red wine. Right, Tim ordered the prime rib dinner.

I ordered the Dr. Jackson pizza for dinner. It had marinara, spinach, bacon, roasted garlic, black beans, and mozzarella. I said no to the caramelized onions. This was amazing pizza and I would go back to the winery just for the pizza, I dream about it. I thought the black bean part would be weird, but it was awesome. They have all sorts of different pizzas and other unique foods. Tim got the prime rib dinner which also came with home-made beer bread, a corn casserole, and potato. The 14-ounce prime rib is slow cooked for 24 hours with Mike’s special blend of wine and spices. This is only served on Saturday nights and you need to call in advance to reserve one. The night we went there were 150 orders for the delicious dish. Check out the menu here.

Along with eating and drinking you can also enjoy live music in the summer and special events throughout the whole year. We got to enjoy the blues band, Honeyboy Turner Band. Check the website for upcoming events.
